Ghana striker Jordan Ayew on Sunday was the hero for Crystal Palace, scoring twice to lead his club to a 5-1 Premier League victory over Leeds United.
Ayew, who started in place of the injured Wilfried Zaha, scored a stunning header to put Palace ahead before scoring a second goal late on with a neat chip over the custodian.
The 29-year-old attacker has been in good form for Palace this season, with his two goals bringing his season total to three.
Ayew’s quickness, power, and accurate finishing were too much for the Leeds defence to handle, and he was duly chosen man of the match for his superb performance.
32 Premier League goals – the most by any Ghanaian.

With Palace now sitting comfortably in 12th place in the Premier League table, six points clear of the relegation zone, Ayew’s goals could prove crucial in their bid for survival this season.
Ayew has been a key player for Palace since joining the club in 2019, and his performance against Leeds only further highlighted his importance to the team.
