The maiden edition of Adansi media awards was held on 30th December, 2017, at the ATS Anyinam lodge. The ceremony celebrated achievements in Radio Broadcasting.
VaRIGHTY EVENT released between January 1, 2017 and December 29, 2017. The nominations were announced on October 11, 2017; Time Fm led the nominees with 24, followed by Sikapa Fm 15, Edubiaseman 12 and Shaft Fm 7. Time Fm won the most awards with 13, including personality of the Year and Radio station of the Year, shaft Fm was honored on the night by the Event organizers VaRIGHTY EVENT The Event was greeted by personalities such as Hon. Elijah Adansi Bonah (MCE Obuasi Municipality). Dr. Patrick Boakye Yiadom (Obuasi East MP), Nana Okyere Buah Ahantan (Adansihene Twafohene) who represented the Adansihene, and Ryan Michael (Former head of Youtube-Ghana, Google).
