Young Ghanaian hiplife artiste Wisa Greid has disclosed his worst moments and how some high-profile Ghanaian artistes including Okyeame Kwame nearly drove him to ‘death’ when he was dragged to court for exposing his manhood on stage during a performance.
Speaking on Accra-based Kasapa FM, Wisa explained that although some respected artists including Sarkodie spoke to him and motivated him, others like Kwame lambasted and lashed out at him on various social media platforms.
The ‘Ekikime’ hitmaker in his interaction maintained that he got very disappointed because he didn’t expect such discouraging words from the likes of the rapper. Wisa Greid, was recently convicted and fined an amount of GHc8,400 by an Accra Circuit Court for showing his manhood on stage. The hiplife artiste who was dragged before a court after Citi FM’s Decemba2Rememba concert in 2015 said he almost gave up for jail during his two year-trial. “Sometimes I just felt like giving up, like just forget about this court issue and sleep, whether they are angry or they should just lock me up because you have to wake up every morning’’, he said. ‘’I will go and come back at 5 am or 6 am…It wasn’t easy, so most of the time I was tired and just wanted to give up,” Wisa added.
