Viral video assault: Adisadel College student granted bail

The Cape Coast District Court 2 has granted bail to the student involved in the assault case at Adisadel College.

Presided over by His Worship ,Eric Oheneba Antwi Boasiako, the court granted bail due to a shortage of jury members for the juvenile case.

The student, who was arrested earlier in the week by the Cape Coast Police on charges of causing harm and assault, will reappear before the court on August 2, 2023.

The arrest followed the emergence of a disturbing video showing a violent attack on another student in a dormitory.

The authorities are taking prompt action to address the incident and hold the perpetrator accountable for their actions.

In the meantime, the victim has been recalled to the school after an initial suspension. Adisadel College is implementing measures to ensure his well-being and recovery.
