The first premier of Anas Aremeyaw Anas Exposé at the GFA has been held at the Accra International Conference Center and the corrupt activities observed are mind-blowing. A Ghanaian popular referee, Samuel Sukah was captured taking GHS2000 and a goat to rig a match in favor of Accra Hearts Of Oak.
Samuel Sukah is a Ghana Premier League referee who officiated the match week 8 fixture between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak played on March 19, 2017.
Sukah awarded a controversial penalty in the 84th minute to the home side Hearts of Oak after Awudu Nafiu was adjudged to have handled the ball. Hearts defender Vincent Atinga successfully stepped up to convert the spot kick which ensured they picked up all three points.
It has now emerged that Anas and his Tiger Eye PI Team paid Referee Sukah Ghc 2,000, while Assistant One Eric Nantiere and Assistant Two Salifu Rahman both pocketed an amount of Ghc 1,500 each.
What made it interesting was the fact that Referee Samuel Sukah took not just GHS2000 but also took home a goat as part of the bribe to favor the Phobians in the match against their archrival, the Porcupine Warriors.
