Forty-six brilliant but needy students in the Ayawaso North Municipality have been supported financially by the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North constituency, Yussif Jajah.
The students from various tertiary institutions across the country received a thousand Ghana Cedis each to further their education in a bid by the MP to transform lives.
Speaking to journalists, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Jajah urged other needy students in the community to take advantage of the scholarship scheme.
He says “I have been doing this for the past six years having assumed office since 2017. Every year I support brilliant but needy students. I have always been calling them to my office to do the presentation”.
The MP called for more support to be able to offer a helping hand to other needy but brilliant students in his jurisdiction.
A beneficiary who is a student at the University of Cape Coast in the Central Region, Yussif Usman said “This is not the first time he is giving me that support. I am using this platform to say a very big thank you to him”.
He said the support would go a long way to improve his academic life.
