CEO of Slip Entertainment Music, Mark Okraku Mantey has advised Ghanaian rapper, Pope Skinny to focus on his music career as he is a “talented” rapper.
Marks asserts that Pope Skinny gets carried away with the musical trend when he already has a genre he’s good at executing.
The President of the Creative Arts Council further disclosed that when Pope was an up and coming artiste, he wanted to produce him at a time due to his rap prowess but unfortunately Pope didn’t believe in his style of music then.
Mark cited Pope Skinny’s verse on Okomfour Kwadee’s “Obaa No” song as one of his raps that stood tall in the music industry.
He, therefore, advised the Tema-based rapper to go back to his style if he truly wants to be the Messiah of rap in the industry.
“He is a good rapper if you know his repertoire. He has very good songs but he doesn’t believe in those songs…” Mark said.
