Ghanaian musician, Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, popularly known as Joey B, says he has no feud with Black Avenue Musiz CEO, Desmond Blackmore, widely known as D Black.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Friday, Joey said there was no such feud as the public perceives, between them.
According to him, D Black introduced him to music hence holding grudges against him would be out of place.
“I love D Black too much. I don’t know why people think we have fallen out. I stayed with him for over 18 years. He is like Jay Z to me. Forever in my heart. He is the reason I went mainstream. I don’t joke with him…” he said.
Asked if there was any rift between them pertaining to why he left D Black’s record label, Joey said: “I wouldn’t say there was beef. There was a misunderstanding. I wanted to be on my own. He had a plan but I also had one. I was creative and being stubborn. I heard handling a genius isn’t- easy. Look at Kanye. We sometimes misunderstand him…” the “Tonga” hitmaker maintained.
Joey B is currently promoting his new song dubbed “Stables” featuring the fast-rising Ghanaian hip-hop group, La Meme Gang.
