The highlight on the night of the ‘bigger’ version (7th edition) of the much anticipated Celestial Praiz was when Celestine Donkor and husband who also doubles as her manager Mr. Kofi Donkor honored music producer and entertainment critic Fred Kyei Mensah popularly called Fredimah for discovering, grooming and supporting Celestine Donkor’s musical career.
Ace broadcaster Abeiku Santana together with Bishop Yaw Owusu Ansah of Adom FM were also honored for their immense contribution to Celestine Donkor’s musical profession.
The event drew Christians from all walks of life, from different denominations and gave them the opportunity to enjoy a night of anointed musical praise, worship and thanksgiving through song ministrations at the Perez Dome in Accra on 25 May 2018.
The event commenced with an amazing praise and worship led by Ps Kwame Manukure and Rev Ato Acquah followed by a memorable solo recital by Christine.
CPraiz choir wowed the crowd with their glorious performances as patrons danced their heart out.
The younger brother of Celestine Donkor John Edem, Friends of God Inc, Michael Peters and Bell followed with awesome spirit-filled performances.
Fast uprising gospel musician Sara Naa Dede won a standing ovation from the crowd for a high tone-setting performance for Celestine Donkor as she elevated the spirit of the crowd to the highest level.
Celestine Donkor electrified and blew patrons expectations as she performed close to ten songs including her trending song ‘bigger’ and ‘okronkronhene’ together with Kenyan celebrated gospel singer Evelyn Wanjiru Agundabwen.
The climax of the event was when Celestine ministered her new single which features Nigerian Celebrated gospel musician Steve Crown entitled ‘bigger’.
Patrons were privileged to see Steve Crown and Celestine Donkor minister the ‘bigger’ song on stage for the first time.
Patrons also experienced Kenyan gospel music as Evelyn Wanjiru refreshed the crowd with her soothing Kenyan gospel tunes.
Nigerian gospel icon Joe Praise crowned the night with soul-inspiring songs of praise which made patrons kneel and lay on the floor throughout their ministration to praise God.
Fans of Celestine Donkor were astonished to see popular Ghanaian gospel musicians Selina Boateng, Akesse Brempong and Lord Bondzie perform on stage as they gave out a mind-boggling performance to praise God respectively.
Even though it was a rainy day, the 7th edition of the annual anticipated ‘Celestial Praiz’ had an overwhelming crowd at the Perez Dome and was graced by SP Kofi Sarpong, Diana Hopson, Diana Hamilton, Joe Mettle, Women in Gospel Music (WIGM) and a host of popular Ghanaian gospel acts.
The event saw the presence of prominent individuals such as Former Power Minister, Hon. Dr. Kwabena Donkor, wife of John Dumelo Mawunya Dumelo, Selassie Ibrahim alongside highly respected men of God such as Rev. Samuel Antwi head pastor for ICGC Destiny Temple branch, Rev Eddie Eyison and other great men of God.
The seventh edition of Celestial Praiz brought together the most exciting and chart-topping hit makers of the year on one stage.
