Seasoned Ghanaian broadcaster and fashionista, Kofi Okyere Darko has responded to a fashion challenge posed by fellow Ghanaian fashion influencer and entrepreneur, Osebo The Zaraman.
Responding to a comment on his Facebook post that Mr Richard Brown (Osebo) had invited him to a fashion challenge, the Creative President of Nineteen57 Clothing said a competition of that nature was impossible because he was ahead of the lot.
“Osebo says he can challenge you for the fashion challenge, accept the challenge and let’s see something,” the user posted.
KOD who shared a photo of himself dressed in a stylish outfit responded in the comments section, “but Lee is the challenge. How does he compete with anyone? I’m beyond competition”
Known for his love of fashion and often seen dressed in stylish and trendy outfits for over 20 years, the Master of Ceremony’s response to the Osebo fashion challenge is a testament to his confidence and belief in the power of individuality.
It may recalled that the esoteric fashion personality in an interview with Ghanaian blogger, ZionFelix alleged that he was once the stylist of K.O.D hence he would flaw in a fashion competition.
Osebo who recently engaged in a fashion beef with controversial religious, Ajagurajah has been asked by fans on social media to battle it out with other individuals including KOD and Nana Kweku Bediako popularly known as Cheddar, a challenge he has refused.
According to Osebo, aside from KKD and Cheddar he was not afraid of matching any stylish man in Ghana when it came to fashion choices.
“Cheddar is a big man, I don’t even have half of his wealth. I know this isn’t about money but that is the truth,” he emphasized “Cheddar hasn’t declared his attention to compete with me. I am not his class, let me tell you why. Give respect to who respect is due. He is rich and has a high sense of fashion.
In a world where social media can sometimes make people feel the need to conform to certain standards or trends, Osebo was quick to accept his strengths and weaknesses
He continued, “Cheddar’s fashion sense is very very high. I am honoured to have Ghanaians compare me to him. This means that I am doing well in the fashion world. It has never come to mind to compete with him…Cheddar doesn’t have time for such plays…what will I gain from beefing him? I accepted Ajagurajah because he is funny and we wanted to entertain the people,”
Ultimately, fans hoping to see the two compete will be highly disappointed and would have to embrace both’s unique expression of style.
