Ghanaian Gospel legend and songwriter, Rev. YABS has said that collaborating with dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale would not be a problem since he will be the one responsible for the content of the track to be released.
In an interview on Akoma FM with Ama Serwah Sarpong, the Minister of God disclosed that should Shatta Wale reach out for a collaboration, he will accept though it comes with a condition.
“If Shatta Wale wants to work with me, I’ll allow it but I’ll determine the words of the song, not him,” he said.
According to him, he will scrutinize the content the ‘Dancehall King’ hitmaker will bring on board and will make sure that the track resulting from their collaboration will be a beautiful piece.
“If the content is not good, I will not sing and I will not allow him to do it as well. I will show him the right thing so that we will make the upcoming track a beautiful one,” he stated.
Rev. Yaw Agyeman Badu also known as Rev YABS raised the issue of condemnation from people and added that, should he work with Shatta Wale, nothing of that sort will be said about him, specifically, his appearance.
“Again, when we are going to do the show, I will make him dress in a way that for someone who doesn’t know Shatta Wale or hasn’t seen him before, will have no negative comment about how he looks,” he indicated.
In addition, he noted that “The condemnation that is done by the masses is not right. The bible talks about not judging people.”
