Famous Ghanaian broadcaster, Fiifi Banson has opened up about his deep love for the two top dancehall artistes in Ghana, Shatta Wale, and Stonebwoy.
According to the media personality, he hardly listens to contemporary hiplife musicians, but Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale stand tall when it comes to Ghana music.
Speaking recently to Bola Ray on Starr Chat, the broadcaster disclosed that although he does not keep copies of songs by the two artists, he loves both of them.
Fiifi Banson in his conversation further noted that he loves how the ‘Freedom’ hitmaker rebranded himself from Bandana to Shatta Wale. While Stonebwoy’s self-discipline and humility within the music industry are highly commendable. “I’ve never kept any song by the contemporary artists.
I don’t have one copy of any song by Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and others but I really love Shatta, not for his lyrical content but I love him for his ability, his brand…” “When he was Banadana and the way he metamorphosed to Shatta, I love the change and how he branded himself but as for his lyrical content, sometimes he goes overboard. I love Stonebwoy for his self-discipline and humility.” Fiifi Banson added.
The veteran broadcaster, however, noted that his all-time best musician in Ghana is highlife singer, Daddy Lumba. high sense of humor and unique style was the host of Accra-based Kasapa FM Morning show since its inception three years ago.
The presenter has finally bowed out as the host of the Kasapa FM, making way for Kwaku Owusu Adjei, aka Patoo as the new host. Fiifi Banson had previously worked with Radio Gold and Peace FM all in Accra.
