One of the most common pieces of advice that musicians receive about advancing their career is the advice to find a good mentor – someone you look up to who can guide you along the path of building a successful music career.
In most cases, artistes who have mentors end up doing their things like that of their mentors. Now, the Agona-sweduru superstar for the first time has opened up on who actually inspires the kind of music he puts out. According to him, Highlife artiste KK Fosu has been his mentor since he started music.
“I like K.K Fosu, growing up I had always wanted to be like him. I pick my style from him and I sing like him, for me I call him my father.
“If you study keenly, I am a highlife artiste. In my latest song ‘Suro Nipa’, I did justice to it just like my father”, Patapaa said this when he was interviewed by Joy Entertainment News.
So, there comes the interesting question as to who inspires Patapaa’s fashion sense? Is it KK Fosu or that’s his own initiative? We leave judgment in your hands in reference to the fashion sense of the ‘one corner’ hitmaker.
