Joshua Kojo Ampah, one-half of the popular Ghanaian music duo Keche, has issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to impersonate him or his bandmate Andrews.

Ampah was venting his spleen over actions by individuals who have impersonated several Ghanaian music acts including Kuami Eugene, Medikal, King Promise and Mr Drew on social media and performing their songs at events.

These individuals allegedly imitated the style and mannerisms of celebrities which has also earned them media attention for their close similarities to the stars.

In response to this trend, Ampah took to his Twitter page to condemn the act and warn anyone in the act: “Listen if you look like Joshua or you look like Andrews, you should remain wherever you are. If I see any lookalike Keche Joshua or use me in your song, the way I will beat.”

He went on to express his concern about these impersonators performing their songs even as they rack their brains to continue to produce new music.

“What pains me is that we are not done releasing songs which means that, so far as we produce the songs, they will also continue to perform with our songs,” he shared
