Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Eugene Marfo who is famously known as Kuami Eugene has said that his kind of music can be characterized as ‘ good music’.
He made this assertion on After Hours with Mikki Osei Berko on TV3, which was monitored by Showbiz.com.gh.
In the course of the interview, he was quizzed with why he switched from gospel to highlife.
In response, the ‘ Angela’ hitmaker said that ” I don’t see myself as a gospel or highlife Musician but rather I’m a ‘good Musician’.
Kuami Eugene started his musical career at the age of 16 as a gospel musician but he is now known as a Highlife musician. Up to date, no one knows the reason why he ditched the Gospel way to make secular music.
The singer during his days as a Gospel act was called Eugene Marfo but not anymore due to his new genre, Hiplife. He was also known as the “African Prince of Worship”.
