The hottest issue in Ghana now is the ongoing fracas between the late Ebony’s dad, Nana Opoku Kwarteng and her record label manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang aka Bullet.
The two have been at each other’s since the sudden demise of the late dancehall queen with the former always ‘attacking’ first.
We thought all was settled barely four months without hearing anything from both camps but all of a sudden, Ebony’s father went on the radio again to make allegations against Bullet that he was given GHC2,000 out of the GHC39,999 profit made out of her Tribute Concert.
This caused Rufftown to disassociate itself from all activities concerning their late artist announcing that they have severed all ties with Ebony Reigns’ unreleased music due to the constant interference of her father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng although he made a promise at her one-week memorial that, he was going to release her unreleased songs because he wants her memory to live on forever.
As usual, Nana Opoku Kwarteng has been going from one Tv station to the other to grant interviews and provide evidence of alleged monies paid to musicians who performed on the nite of her tribute concert which caused mixed reactions among Ghanaians.
In one of his interviews on GhOne, he stated that his late daughter’s successes the entertainment industry will be credited to the media and not Bullet as many have perceived.
Talking about how he will set up her foundation, he stated his plans and added that the media is solely responsible for her daughter’s success.
“…but then sweetheart, I will need media support because you can make it work. Media is media, you made Ebony hit, it wasn’t anybody per say as claimed. No. The media did a fantastic job and I’ll count on you, I’ll just do that, think you will do your maximum support to make things come to work,”he said.
