Actor Prince David Osei has attacked actress Rosemond Brown for her poor English at the just ended Golden Movie Awards 2018. Not only him but a whole lot of social media folks.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Monday, the actor told the host of the show, KMJ, that he couldn’t comprehend why Kumawood actress, Rosemond Brown, will be given the platform to present an award at such a respected ceremony.
According to him, the show showcases Ghana’s culture across the continent hence he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw terrible English-speaking Rosemond Brown on the podium while “better” celebrities were around to do the honor.
“You bring people who are not articulate to present awards. Her English speaking is out of place. There are a lot of people who could have presented the award. She took an hour to breathe. Why is it that when people play the tomfoolery we celebrate? Stupidity is the hallmark. People are doing so well and they are not recognized but if you give the platform to fools…” he fumed.
Well, TV Presenter Nana Aba Anamoah has replied Prince and all those that are unconstructively criticizing Rosemond.
She wrote:
“Some of the comments on @rosemond_brown‘s page are utterly miserable. Why do some of you think it’s okay to verbally abuse this young lady? She’s a happy go lucky ray of sunshine who has decided to go for it! If you can’t stand her, move on. How does her inability to speak good English affect your bank account? She’s full of energy and joy; copy that!
Keep being you, @rosemond_brown. No one can steal your thunder ❤”
