Born David Kwaku Effum Boafo, professionally known as Obibini has stated emphatically that Nigerians poor reception towards Ghanaian artistes who performed at the recently Zylofon Invasion Concert in Nigeria was all planned.
The Invasion Concert saw performances from Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Kumi Guitar, Becca, King Promise, among others. However, despite the spectacular performances put forth by the Ghanaian artistes, the auditorium could be linked to the cemetery.
So, it’s not surprising that Obibini who was part of the performing acts on the night has posited that Nigerians who attended the show planned to disgrace the Ghanaian artistes.
Obibini also expressed shock over the event goer’s attitude of keeping mute when Shatta Wale was performing ‘Hosanna’ single but cheered Burna Boy who featured on the song when he stormed the stage to join Shatta Wale. In the voice of Obibini, whatever attitude put forth by the Nigerians who attended the show was planned.
Obibini who was not pleased with the receptions from the Nigerians revealed that when he mounted the stage to perform, he had most cheers and reactions from Zylofon Media and Menzgold team who attended the event.
“Honestly I think the crowd was dull naturally and I believe it was a planned thing. They were just quiet but there were some normal applauds and shout but it wasn’t what I expected,” he told Zionfelix on Radio Universe.
Obibini further noticed that the crowd cheered their own acts (Nigerian artistes) when they came on stage hence making him believe that the reception from them was deliberate just to disgrace Ghana music.
