Carbon Av and Exclusive Men’s Magazine, organisers of the Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Africa Awards EMY Africa Awards have unveiled its nomination list for the 2018 edition of the annual awards.
The announcement was made at a beautiful, well-organised and short ceremony hosted by Joy Sports Editor Nathaniel Attoh on Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Accra.
The awards which celebrate exceptional and distinguished men in Africa who have excelled in their fields of endeavour will return in its full glamour for the third time following its two successful organisations.
The nominees revealed on the night had in inclusion, Kuami Eugene, boxer Isaac Dogbe, King Promise, Kobby Blay and Alloysius Attah in Discovery of the Year Category, Nathaniel Attoh, Okyeame Kwame, Stephen Appiah, Harold Amenyah and Jake Obeng-Bediako in the Man of the Year Style category.
For the Men in Entertainment, Ghanaian Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy faces competition from Kumawood actor Akrobeto, Comedian DKB, Playwright Latif Abubakar and movie producer Abdul Salam.
With a tall list of 24 award categories up for grabs, this year’s event is expected to honour distinguished men and women in Ghana and across the continent who have rolled out landmarks in the development and progress of families, societies and the African region at large.
In default, voting has opened effective today, July 26 to August 15, for enthused fans to choose their preferred personalities to stand tall among their competitors shortlisted in the various categories.
The unveiling saw in attendance, popularly personalities like Joselyn Dumas, Selly Gally, Salma Mumin, KOD, Nana Adwoa Awindor and Big J Cartel of Praye fame among others.
The main event has been slated for August 18, 2018.
