Akuapem rapper and ex officio member of Shatta Movement (SM) family, Pope Skinny has deserted the camp of Shatta Wale to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
The rapper cum radio presenter formed a close-knit with Shatta Wale over the last few years. In the process, they released collaborative songs like Hot Cake, Borga, Asuoden Music and Kp3kp3l3mi.
Pope Skinny, who is now known as AsuodenGod, was hoping that the Gringo hitmaker would use his influence to help him rediscover his past glory but that never happened.
AsuodenGod has therefore decided to literally take the bulls by the horns and do things his way. He has since been embarking on a rigorous radio tour to promote himself making controversial statements.
In his quest to resurrect his ailing music career, AsuodenGod (Pope Skinny) not long ago postulated that Ghana rap is dead, however, he’ll resurrect it as soon as possible. According to him, the dead status of Ghana rap is the main reason why Sarkodie, Kofi Kinaata and other rappers have resorted to singing.
