Ghana’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie has reacted to the woes of female singer Noella Wiyaala as revealed by the songstress in the latest interview.
According to the Afropop singer Wiyaala in an interview on Joy Tv, Ghanaians are not appreciating the brand Wiyaala and that has really affected her music career.
She revealed in the interview that, Ghana’s music industry is structured in such a way that if an artist fails to ride on trending genres for fame, things will be hard for such artiste. So, that’s why her music career is not progressing at a faster pace as expected.
“I’m a tameless lioness so the system (music industry) can’t tame. If you are not doing what the system require of you, they blacklist you or they pretend and act like her type of artistes don’t exist.
I’m always the last they (event organisers) think of because I’m not doing what can give them the money,” she honestly noted.
Despite the challenges, Wiyaala insisted that she’s not going to change her style to suit the masses. Touched with emotions, Sarkodie after listening to the agony of Wiyaala commented on it through his Twitter handle encouraging the artiste not to give up.
“Had the same comment coming up girl but there are things you see that everyone else doesn’t and that’s the thing…they will understand small time your worth is priceless @Wiyaala,” He commented.
As a reminder, songstress eShun not long ago expressed worry about the fact that Ghanaians are only interested in shoddy songs. In the voice of eShun, only Patapaa’s “One Corner” kind of song is what Ghanaians are looking forward to listening.
