Ghanaian TikToker and influencer, Asantewaa has rubbished the efforts of music stakeholders including artiste managers, DJs, music bloggers and other distributors in promoting Ghanaian music in the digital era.
Cementing her role as the tour de force in influencer marketing, the actress and Tiktok star revealed that without her input the music would not trend.
Speaking to Nana Romeo on Accra FM in an exclusive interview, she stated “I am like salt without me it would not be nice”
Asantewaa who was credited with promoting Friday Night by Lasmid in her skits and viral videos disclosed that she he no longer offers music promotion services.
“I don’t promote music, I enjoy good music. Some artistes come to my management to promote their music but we don’t do it anymore because they don’t have money,” she maintained
Boasting a large following on the social media platform, she also indicated that her brand is now solid and musicians cannot afford her services.
“Even if they bring 10 Billion we won’t do it,” she emphasized on the Ayekoo show.
She also exposed the hypocrisy of Ghanaians who questioned why she was supporting Davido, a Nigerian artist but slammed her for using her platform and voice to create buzz about other Ghanaian artistes.
“I saw last week that people on the internet were roasting me for supporting Davido’s music and screaming support your own but we were here when people said they didn’t send me to promote Ghanaian music,” she said
