Nana Appiah Mensah, the CEO of Zylofon Media, is shockingly rumoured to have slept with Shatta Wale’s girlfriend for the musician to secure the mouth-watering management deal with the burgeoning music company.
The raging rumours on social media say Shatta Michy had to sleep with the multimillionaire businessman to enable the rapper to gain the biggest artiste contract in his history of Ghana.
Wale, the critically acclaimed dancehall musician, landed the mega $1.5m deal together with a plush house in the affluent neighbourhood of East Legon early this year.
The deal that was unveiled amid pomp and pageantry shook the country and changed the music landscape in the country which was met with a mixed reaction.
With music CD sales facing a big decline in the world and in Ghana in particular as other cheaper mediums of listening to music rise, the signing of Wale to the mammoth contract raised many eyebrows.
While Wale supporters say he deserved the deal claiming he has immense talent, several music observers in the country said the amount splashed on the musician was undeserving.
Now claims on social media are that there might be more reasons to deal than the handing of a management contract to a musician who cannot rake in the huge amount of money and largesse splashed on the controversial rapper.
According to the rumours Shatta Michy had an amorous relationship which forced the man also known as NAM 1 to hand her boyfriend the contract to buy his silence.
The signing of the artiste, according to the claim, was to ensure that Shatta Wale won’t go public with the secret relationship Nana Appiah Mensah had with his girlfriend.
The two parties were not available to react to the wild rumours on social media but the claims not only dents the image of the Zylofon Media CEO but also put the talent of Shatta Wale into question.
Any suggestions that his girlfriend had to sleep with Nana Appiah for Wale to get the contract means Wale is not talented enough to get the contract.
It also sparks the debate between fans of Wale and his arch-rival Stonebwoy, who was signed by Zylofon Media way before the latter landed his contract.
