Dr Omane Boamah

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made key appointments to augment its national leadership.

The appointments followed a meeting held by the National Executive Committee (NEC) on Thursday, August 24.

Among the appointments is former Communications Minister Dr Edward Omane Boamah, who will now be Director of Elections/IT.

He will be assisted at the elections directorate by Mahdi Gibril and Dr Rashid Tanko and Dr George Atta Boateng and Wisdom Yayra Deku at the IT directorate.

In an acceptance statement, Dr Omane Boamah promised to work tirelessly and contribute his best to secure victor for the NDC in the 2024 elections.

“With my experience as the NDC’s Deputy Campaign Coordinator for the 2012 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections and my understanding of the impact of technology and unbiased research on modern-day elections, I commit to working loyally, cooperatively, strategically, meticulously, effectively, efficiently, and resiliently to help bring the NDC back to power on January 07, 2025.

“We did it together in 2008 and came out of opposition. We must repeat it in 2024 to build the Ghana we want together.”

Meanwhile, Professor Joshua Alabi, Dr Samuel Sarpong and Abdul Rauf Khalid have been appointed to the Vice Chairmanship positions of the party.

Alex Kyeremeh is the National Treasurer with Thomas Ayisi Kumah assisting him.

Kakra Essamuah remains the Director for Communications with Obuobi Darko-Opku assisting him.
